I work in the Geological Fluid Dynamics group of the Institut de Physique du Globe de Paris. I am interested in the physics of Earth surface processes and how they influence the shape of landscapes. I investigate these processes using laboratory experiments, mathematical modeling and field observations, with the goal to identify the primary ingredients necessary to model them. I am particularly interested in the control that small scale physics may exert on large scale features of the Earth surface.
I also supervise the Observatory of Water and Erosion in the Antilles (Observatoire de l’Eau et de l’éRosion aux Antilles - ObsERA). This observatory, funded by the CNRS-INSU, monitors erosion and weathering in several catchments located in Guadeloupe (Lesser Antilles arc).
